Came here after crossing the Manhattan Bridge in the evening. After striking out on a ramen restaurant that Yelp said was open but the manager arbitrarily closed an hour early, Dumpling Story was eager to serve us. Ordering by tablet was weird, especially when the restaurant wasn't busy. But the beef broccoli, fried rice, and rainbow soup dumplings really hit the spot! And we got 2 free yum corn drinks to take with us after the meal!

A nice restaurant in comparison to Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao. Similar menu items with the Shanghainese soup pork buns and noodles. I was ecstatic that this place arrived in Chinatown so I don't need to trek myself all the way to Flushing. Now that this place is closer to my home, I find it really convenient to order xiao long Bao seamlessly in Chinatown. I ended up ordering mini pan fried pork buns and one Peking duck bao from this place. The mini pan fried pork buns were very tasty with sesame seeds and chives that added a lot of flavor. Wontons were fried really well making it crispy when you take a bite. The Peking duck bao tasted kind of weird though like it was smoky, which was not what I expected. I did not realize that it would be that smoky. The interior is very nice with a big tree as you enter inside with booths and family style set up tables for large groups. A very family oriented vibe. Going to come back for more of their main dishes and truffle dumplings! They have self checkout kiosks and a bench in the waiting area so you don't need to stand and wait forever to be seated.

I came here with a party of 5 and we were served very quickly. Server was very accommodating to one of us who has a nut allergy. We all agreed the food was delicious and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant over all.

What a great little dumpling spot. Came here for a quick lunch because I was craving soup dumplings, and this place did not disappoint. It's conveniently located right by the M train. I initially thought you order at the mobile kiosk, but realized only after I'd submitted my order that it was for to-go orders only. I apologized and asked a server if it would be okay if I had the order here, and they were able to switch it. It's a casual atmosphere with communal tables along with some private booths and tables along the sides of the restaurant. Each table has fresh ginger, chili oil, black vinegar and soy sauce ready to be poured onto your dumplings, which I appreciated. My soup dumplings came out fairly quickly, and were everything you want soup dumplings to be. Warm, soft, chewy, juicy and flavorful. 10/10. No notes.

4 out of 5 but nothing special A safe choice especially for tourists and American crowd I ordered to go on a Friday night so that might have affected the taste It's like Nan Xiang Express in Midtown West but more hip because of the loud clubbing music and bright-colored decor This is a true sign Manhattan Chinatown is become Flushing Chinatown--chains, chains, chains and no more whole-in-the-wall places Food 3.75 out of 5 Rice cakes with snow vegetables and shredded pork On the bland side, which is good for me A bit soggy even if it was dine in-- it lacks what Cantonese people call "wok air" because it was not fried long enough Price 4 out of 5 $12.99 is honestly some of the best pricing you will find in Manhattan Chinatown for this dish It follows the lower Flushing price point Service 4 out of 5 The staff is younger and/or more polite You do not get that screaming, cash-only, and get-out-as-soon-as-you-are-done eating vibe Cleanliness 5 out of 5 Did not use their bathroom but you can tell by the way the food is packaged, the mosquito nets over the condiments and disposable utensils at each table, plus the appearance of staff
